Zhaneel watched wistfully as another searchdragon took off with another candidate in tow. Will her turn ever come or will she end up like her friend Loreli, never Impressing yet staying in the Weyr. :Don't worry: Zhaneel glanced at her imperial eagle speculatively "Why not?" They will come for you: kin'iro flapped his wings and ckicked his large beak in emphansis. :You are good, kind, nice, they will come for Zhaneel: Zhaneel was surprised at her bird's intellect, usually the Bondbirds of Fire Ridge couldn't really understand how being Searched and Impressing worked. Yet Kin'iro did, odd. : I am not a wherry brained idiot! I am smart just like Tre'valen and Kyrr: The other two bondbirds that he mentioned were the only ones who understood the facts of searches and impressions, not to mention that they could do basic science and math. "Frustrating Birds." Zhaneel mumbled under her breath. "Why do you think I will be searched and Impress?" :You are bondmate to Kin'iro and Lled, so why not dragon, the dragons here like you though the little ones did not choose you: "Ahh I see, you think I will have to go to another Weyr." :Yes, listen: Zhaneel listened quietly for a moment, the distant beating of immense wings and the bugeling from his post. She ran outside to the ledge in time to see a green dragon she didn't recognize landing in the Weyrbowel. Next to the green shape she could make out the form of the Weyrwoman waving for her to come down. :Told you: but his answer was lost to zhaneel as she pounded down the steps. With a sigh Kin'iro launched himself from his perch and glided down to his bondmate. Leld chirruped in Zhaneels ear as she came to a stop in front of the Weyrwoman and the greenrider. "May I help you miss?" She asked excitedly. "As a matter of fact you could, how would you like to stand over at Tripaldi Weyr? We could really use a girl candidate who is not afraid to work hard." When Zhaneel nodded, the greenrider turned to Copper. "I'm not really sure how the hatchlings or the dragons of Tripaldi will handle the bondbird though..." As she glacned questioningly at Kin'iro. : Your dragon has not objected to me yet, have you milady?:
Of course not, silly bird, who would objct to your hm, charisma. "Well, that settles that, are there any forms and such that you need my to sign?" Copper asks the rider. " Um, yeah, Zhaneel why don't you go and pack up your stuff and say goodby. The clutch is due to hatch anytime and we must go!" Later Zhaneel, Kin'iro, and Lled found themselves flying high above Tripaldi Weyr, ready to begin a new chapter in there lives...
