Welcome to the somewhat unknown area of Fire Ridge that houses newly hatched dragons born riderless who do not wish to be kept at the Weyr/cathair/caer/Dragonry they were orginally born at. Known as the "Nursery" it is run by the Weyrwoman herself, and a select staff of about 6.

 

      Also in residence is a large black dragon named Rath, who was himself hatched at Fire Ridge riderless. He is actually behind the entire operation, being the first riderless dragon at FR, and showing the leaders that a special facility with dedicated personel was needed to care for such dragons. Now while Rath may not approve of the name, since he believes some adult riderless dragons like himself may come to reside within the "Nursery's " stone halls, he keeps quiet, for Copper, the Weyrwoman, is always around.
